"Honest River" by Josh Harris

"Honest River Song" comes from the space I am in on my journey with God. I'm currently reading "the shack" by Paul Young and have had some interesting debates on social media about the grace and love of God. It seems to me that we always want to measure it out ... Figure out where it stops where it ends ...
but to me the love of God is like a river that is flooding the banks built by mankind's understanding ...overflowing and pushing past all our limits and regulations we put on his love ....his love and grace expands and goes far beyond our understanding of it or where we might draw the line ...he goes further...
...And to be honest I don't much care for all the debates...theorizing and philosophizing about it ... I just want to experience it personally... I want to encounter Gods love and presence - via actual real time relationship .... I could argue about what God is like through intellectual or academic approaches ... Or I could just know because I know through relational experiential knowledge...

Gods love won't be boxed in or minimized by us. How do we put conditions on a love that is "unconditional"...
the way that I've come to understand this about God hasn't come from reading a book and hasn't come from Bible verses ....but it's come from life.... From a REALationship with God ... having failed miserably in my own life and realizing I was met not by judgement and wrath as I expected through the limits I put on His love ... But rather I was met with the acceptance and steady love and grace of a wonderful Daddy God~

I don't want to win arguments.... I want to have intimacy with God.
And He wants that too... That's what this song is all about...
